CHOCOLATE DIPPED STRAWBERRIES

Are you always looking for a colorful and lower carb dessert option? Try making these chocolate dipped strawberries.

Buy high quality dark chocolate, 70-80% cocoa content, which studies have found to be a powerful source of antioxidants that may reduce heart disease, lower blood pressure and have other health benefits. Strawberries are also rich in antioxidants and are a good source of vitamin C. So overall, you don't have to feel bad about indulging in something sweet at the end of the meal.

  1. Line a baking tray that fits into your fridge with parchment paper or silpat.

  2. Wash the strawberries and dry very well.

  3. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate on medium/high temp for 30 seconds at a time, until fully melted, taking care not to burn the chocolate. Mix well each time you take it out of the microwave.

  4. Dip the strawberries about halfway into the chocolate.

  5. Lay on your baking tray.

  6. Let firm up in the fridge.

  7. Plate and serve directly from the fridge.

TIP: These are also a great Passover dessert.
